Patagonia's Staff Photographer & Brand Visionary
"Johnson's creative footprint has been instrumental in shaping not just Patagonia's brand vision, but adventure culture as well".
Jeff Johnson embodies everything we are celebrating at SUMM1T. As a self-taught, self-made photographer, Jeff has made a career of melding creativity and adventure through his own initiative. Jeff's career journey ultimately led him to become the first staff photographer at Patagonia, where his creative vision continues to drive the brand that leads the world in environmental stewardship. We are thrilled and honored to have Jeff speak at the first ever SUMM1T event.
In addition to Jeff's extensive photography work, he has published 2 books: Bend to Baja: A biofuel powered surfing and climbing road trip (2006), and 180 South: Conquerors of the Useless (2010).
Jeff currently resides in Santa Barbara, California. He works as a creative brand agent for Patagonia Inc. and does freelance work as a creative director, photographer and writer. He divides his time between the mountains and the ocean.
